This winter/spring, Chad and I enrolled L'ie Bear into two classes through the Parks and Recreation Department...Music for Tots and Gymnastics.
On Monday mornings, we head down the street for Gymnastics. L'ie was hesitant at first, but now she really likes the class. And you will often see her running around and trying all of the different equipment set up in a circuit.

| Playing on the bars |

| Rolling on the tubes |

| Waiting her turn for the balance beam |
| Practicing her balance |
| Preparing to roll forward |
| There she goes |
| They even found time for bubbles |
And class always ends with a stamp

On Friday mornings, we head to the same location for a music class, where the kids get to dance, sing and play to a music soundtrack created by the teacher. Each week, we hear different music and learn about instruments, animals, weather, etc. Once again, it took the Bear a few minutes to warm up to the other kids but then she was off and hasn't looked back since.

| Playing under the BIG parachute |
| Going for a ride on top of the parachute |
| The Bear loves this rocking horse and it is the 1st toy she picks each week |
| Tossing a ball through a hula hoop |
| Peeking out of the fire truck |
| Helping one of the kids build a tower with big blocks |
| Clean up time! |
| Getting another stamp at the end of class |
These classes are so much fun. L'ie Bear is learning many things, such as balance, following directions, sharing, patience, and confidence...all while getting some exercise. And an added benefit for me is that she is usually exhausted after each class and takes a nice long nap!!
We have had such wonderful experiences with these classes and hope to enroll the Bear in swimming and dance classes this summer.
